Why study Livestock and Poultry Science?
You will study a range of sciences including animal behaviour, microbiology, anatomy and physiology, biochemistry, health, genetics and reproduction that underpin the effective and humane production of animals for food, fibre and pharmaceuticals.
You will use the latest technologies in disease control, welfare management, animal environment interactions and product quality.
You will also study business principles and gain practical skills in applying these through industry placements to ensure the profitable and sustainable management of livestock & poultry.
