Why study Human Movement Science?
The purpose of the BSc(Hons) program is to provide for the development of research skills pre-requisite to pursuit of the higher research degrees such as the MPhil or PhD. BSc(Hons) may be pursued within any area of the Human Movement Science (Plan Code HUMANX2031). Students seeking honours in the social science/socio-cultural aspects of human movement studies should rather target the BA(Hons) program, administered through the Faculty of Arts. Prospective students must arrange for an academic staff member from the School of Human Movement Studies, who is knowledgeable in the student's intended area of focus, to be his/her supervisor. Agreement of a supervisor is necessary before enrolment in the honours program is permitted. Students enrolled in the program are expected to be familiar with the rules of the BSc(Hons) program. Application forms should be submitted to the Academic Advisor in the School of Human Movement Studies.
