Why study Health Promotion and Disease Prevention?

This plan of the Master of Public Health program provides students with a solid grounding in population health concepts and methods to contribute effectively to health promotion practice, together with critical thinking and research skills. Health promotion and disease prevention teaching emphasises a broad ecological perspective on health behaviour and health promotion, including understanding the scope and purpose of health behaviour theories, and identifying what is most relevant from those theories that may be applied in practice.
