Why study Standard?
This field promotes a population approach to health. It addresses a diverse array of health issues relevant to contemporary populations. This plan is a flexible, distance-based program that enables students to tailor their studies to suit their needs. Students can undertake courses from a range of content areas, including addictions, health behaviours, clinical epidemiology, women's health, child and adolescent health and chronic disease. The program's multidisciplinary base ensures graduates will gain skills across core disciplines that inform a population health approach and enhance practice in a wider range of settings. The Program Coordinator approves the plan of study.
This field of study is the only one is this program which can be studied either externally or internally (or a mixture) and which is therefore suitable for international students to study full-time in Australia.
All compulsory courses are available either externally or internally. Most elective courses are available either internally or externally, but some may be in one mode of study only.
Summer Semester entry not available for international students.
