Why study Asian Studies?

Whether it be work, study or pleasure, dealing with Asia requires a knowledge of sometimes very different societies. This major provides a flexible way of getting to know the region and the opportunities that await you, without having to learn a foreign language. All teaching of Asian Studies courses is in English. Asian Studies introduces students to the diverse cultures and histories of the countries in the region. Students learn about the political and economic systems of the countries and their ramifications for Australia.
