Course description
This course is designed to develop students understanding of the management, and relationships between, the travel and transport sector of the tourism industry. Much of the growth in the global tourism industry can be linked to the introduction of new transport technologies. These transport technologies are utilising computer reservation systems and global distribution systems in their development and this course introduces students to the nature of the distribution process in tourism. The course analyses the environment within which distribution takes place, the factors influencing choice of distribution strategy and the changing nature of transport systems.
