Course description
This course examines the operation and management of travel wholesale and retail companies. The course provides an introduction to the international travel sector, within the international business environment. It covers the key components of the sector and their interrelationships; distribution channels in the international travel sector, including the operating characteristics and constraints of the sector, such as economic, legal and marketing issues; retail travel management and considers alternative forms of international travel management, including electronic distribution. Particular attention is given to the retail and wholesale sales process
