Course description
This course examines the work of both modern and contemporary European philosophers on the nature of ethics and the passions. Issues explored may include: the nature of forgiveness, the relationship between love and respect, the nature of friendship, critiques of the role of the passions in ethics and how political structures influence perceptions of the passions. This course may not run if there are fewer than 20 enrolments.
