Course description
In this rotation, students will learn how to assess and assist in the management of acute and serious medical conditions in a hospital setting, particularly illnesses that are common in general practice. Examples are diabetes mellitus, ischaemic heart disease, heart failure, stroke, and COPD. Patient education and health maintenance will be emphasised, and students will further develop communication and physical examination skills that are appropriate for patients across all age groups and cultures.
