Course description

Students will learn issues associated with the nursing management of persons with breast cancer, relevant pharmacology treatment & strategies to assist individuals & families cope with change, loss & grief and terminal illness. The problem will introduce students to significant social issues & a range of measures in developing a pain management plan & complex wound management. Health education for individuals & health promotion strategies [including screening] for communities to prevent a range of cancers are discussed.
