Course description

Anatomy & physiology & pathophysiology of the musculo-skeletal system using a school-aged child who sustains a fractured femur. This practice problem will initially be examined from the injury site. Issues associated with nursing management of this child & his family. Bone growth & repair, wound healing & associated pharmacology treatment & strategies to assist individuals & families cope with change & loss.
