Course description

NOT OFFERED 2010 This course is an introduction to the linguistic foundations of written literacy and reading. Linguistic and cognitive foundations of reading and writing are introduced, with attention given to these processes in alphabet and non-alphabet-based languages, and in traditional and electronic media.
