Course description

This course will compare the constitutional structures of the US, UK, Canada, Australia and NZ. The focus will be on the effects of Bills of Rights (including their absence), judicial interpretive approaches, the consequences of federalism, and the differences -- if any -- between written and unwritten constitutions.
