Course description

NOT 2009. An examination of the characteristics of legal systems in the Asia-Pacific region. The focus will be on three components of a legal system: structural, substantive and cultural. The nations to be considered include the People's Republic of China including Hong Kong and Tibet, Korea, Taiwan, Japan, Vietnam, Malaysia, Brunei Darussalam and Indonesia.
