Course description

This course contains two key elements. The first element provides a comprehensive overview of educational program design from the point of identifying the education shortfall, through conduct of a needs analysis, design of a professional development strategy, and establishment of an education program. The second element relates to evaluation of a professional development program. Through evaluation, clinical educators acquire the information they need to make rational decisions regarding the effectiveness and efficiency of education programs. This course covers evaluation from planning to a balanced score card and report writing. This course will benefit all clinicians involved in education, particularly those in a supervisory or quality assurance role or the specialised clinician educator.
