Course description
(Please refer enquiries to Intnl Energy Centre - www.internationalenergycentre.com) Students will analyse current and emerging technology options to manage and reduce energy consumption, improve efficiency and mitigate climate change. Key power generation and low emission technologies and their costs, benefits, challenges, risks and associated supply systems will be examined, including renewable energy options and Carbon Capture & Storage (CCS), gas, cogeneration and oil production. The course provides students with a broad understanding of the numerous technologies and supply systems and will prepare them for an introduction to decision making tools including cost benefit analysis.
