Course description
This course consists of a practicum designed for teachers interested in opportunities to examine the multiplicity of roles played by learning support teachers in schools. It will consist of a work-shadowing activity so that students in the course will become familiar with policies & procedures required by education authorities (Education Queensland or Catholic Education) in relation to learning support. Students will participate in activities that characterise learning support teachers' roles including planning & implementation of programs for students with learning difficulties as well as consulting with teachers, administrators & parents. This course may not be offered internally if the enrolment is less than 10 students.
