Course description
NOT OFFERED 2014. This course surveys contemporary debates and the theoretical underpinnings of curriculum policy and practice. It develops concepts and skills of curriculum design, development and evaluation and applies them to contemporary curriculum policies, including issues of outcomes and standards, the core curriculum and essential learnings, disciplinarity and generic skills, and curriculum and social change. These concepts are the basis for an assessment of current developments in curriculum form and content at a range of levels of education. This course may not be offered internally if the enrolment is less than 10 students
