Course description
The course Teaching and Learning introduces, discusses and critiques contemporary discourse and theory associated with five pedagogical themes. The themes are: (i) youth development; (ii) learning, including topics on memory, cognition, and knowledge acquisition and application; (iii) facilitating learning, including topics on assessment, knowledge transfer, learning styles, and teaching strategies; (iv) positive school environment, including topics on motivation, relationships, and ethical behaviour; and (v) an introduction to multiliteracies and numeracies across the curriculum.
