Course description

The course will cover various topics in mathematics and statistics, including real analysis, linear algebra, calculus, optimisation, probability and random variables. Understanding this material will prepare the students for graduate courses in economics, especially those involving quantitative components. The emphasis will be in the formal aspects of the analysis, including definitions, main results, and problem solving.
