Assessment methods

Students will be assessed for competence against the national competency standards for dietetics, units 6, 8 and 9. Formative assessment will be provided during the semester.

Course description

Dietetics professionals are required to undertake a minimum of 20 days of professional practice in food and nutrition service management. This course allows students to undertake practice that applies business and management skills to the provision of food and nutrition services, programs and products to a level that meets national competency standards for safe entry level practice. A service learning model is used for this course.
