Course description
This course surveys key aspects and theories of contemporary art. You will be introduced to a variety of different approaches to the writing of contemporary art histories, and become familiar with some of the major theoretical frameworks driving contemporary artistic production and reception. The course will enable the development of skills in visual analysis, critical thinking, independent research, and academic writing. It includes site visits to galleries and museums in Brisbane
