Course description
NOT OFFERED IN 2011 Focuses on archaeological aspects of the centres of social and political life in ancient Athens and ancient Rome, with strong emphasis on individual research. Offers an opportunity to exercise students' knowledge of Greek and Roman political and social history, religion, culture, literature, art and architecture in a comprehensive archaeological approach; it is therefore desirable that students have some background of formal study in these areas.
