ProctorU exams are invigilated remotely by a real person in real-time using your webcam.

Your Electronic Course Profile and personal exam timetable will indicate if you are required to sit an exam that will be invigilated using ProctorU.

It's your responsibility to complete each of the following steps prior to your ProctorU exam. 

  1. Create an account (new users)
  2. Download Guardian Browser and test your device
  1. Complete a practice test
  2. Schedule your exam

2. Download Guardian Browser and test your device

  1. Download the Guardian Browser from the web or through your ProctorU account.
  2. Test your computer and internet connection to ensure your laptop and exam environment meet the minimum requirements.
  3. If you are using a Mac computer, enable the recommended Mac settings.

ProctorU's Guardian Browser guides are available to help you through this process.

If your computer and internet don't meet the minimum requirements, you can book an on-campus exam booth, or borrow a laptop from the Library.
