Psychology (Major)

For the major in Psychology, students must complete 16 units comprising —
    - 2 units for Level 1 Psychology major compulsory course; and
    - 2 units for Level 2 Psychology major compulsory courses; and
    - 4 units from Level 2 Psychology major elective courses; and
    - 2 units for Level 3 Psychology major compulsory courses; and
    - 6 units from Level 3 Psychology major elective courses.
Students should complete the 4 units of Level 1 prerequisite courses for the major.

Students who complete PSYC1040 and PSYC2010 towards the Psychology single or extended major are exempt from STAT1201.

If you are seeking a psychology career then the fully accredited extended major in psychology provides the foundation for further training. You must complete the extended major in order to be eligible for entry into the Honours program.
