Physics (Major)

For the major in Physics, students must complete 16 units comprising —
    - 2 units for Level 1 Physics major compulsory course; and
    - 6 units for Level 2 Physics major compulsory courses; and
    - 8 units for Level 3 Physics major compulsory courses; and
Students should complete the 2 units of Level 1 prerequisite courses for the major.

Students who have not successfully completed Queensland Senior Physics (or equivalent) should complete PHYS1171 in their first semester as an elective course.

Students completing the Physics major or extended major must also complete MATH1051/MATH1071, MATH1052/MATH1072, MATH2001, and MATH2100 in the Applied Mathematics minor.
