Why study the Master of Molecular Biology Research Extensive?

There is a tremendous demand for people with experience in molecular biology, both in the academic and industrial settings. Such experience can be used at the "coalface" level where the person actually carries out research, at the management level where knowledge of techniques and approaches is required, at the regulatory level and in publicity/advertising. The Research Extensive program is designed to enable scientists who wish to increase their technical and research skills in core areas of molecular biology, protein technology and bioinformatics and wish to obtain a more extended laboratory immersion than is available in the existing three semester MMolBiol. The extended program will also provide a strong preparation for entry into a Ph.D. program.
