Why study the Graduate Certificate in Rural Development?
The program will develop theoretical and practical knowledge and skills to meet the many global challenges associated with feeding the world, maintaining our environment and wildlife, biosecurity concerns, and competition for limited resources. You will develop practical knowledge and skills needed to work with individuals, groups and communities to analyse, plan, implement and evaluate rural development, agricultural extension, community development and stakeholder engagement programs and activities. It is an ideal program for graduates and professionals seeking to expand their career prospects into a wide range of government, commercial, community based or research roles in the broad field of agriculture and environment.
The Graduate Certificate in Rural Development replaced the Graduate Certificate in Rural Systems Management 2014. To fulfil the requirements of the Graduate Certificate in Rural Development, a student must complete the requisite number of courses chosen from the course list in accordance with the Program Rules.
