Why study the Master of Conservation Biology?
The Master of Conservation Biology is an ideal program if you wish to expand your career prospects into a wide range of government, conservation and resource management agencies. It covers the integrative disciplines of conservation, ecology and biodiversity and focuses on the problems of restoring and maintaining viable populations of animal and plant species, and natural and managed ecosystems. It will equip you with a comprehensive theoretical understanding of conservation biology, as well as the required practical training and skills obtained through trips to some of Australia's most unique field sites.
What you can study
The Master of Conservation Biology is a #24 program delivered in the regular University semesters as well as in shorter intensive teaching periods, to enable the program to be completed in 12 months.
A standard enrolment for a full-time student is to complete a #2 course, CONS7026, Conservation in Context, just prior to the commencement of semester 2, enrol in #8 during semester 2, enrol in #4 in the summer semester, and #10 in two teaching periods in semester 1.
