Prerequisites
An approved degree; or
A post-secondary qualification and a minimum of 2 years full-time (or equivalent) work experience in a healthcare or public health setting, as approved by the Executive Dean.
A degree in one of the following disciplines would normally meet the 'approved degree' requirement:
- Behavioural and social sciences (Sociology, Psychology, Counselling)
- Biomedical Sciences
- Biostatistics
- Dentistry, Oral Health
- Development Studies
- Environmental Health
- Exercise and Sport Science
- Food Science

The minimum GPA to be considered for admission into this program is 4.0.
International students who wish to undertake this program will not qualify for a Student Visa. Additional application requirements
This program is not available to international students coming to Australia to study on a Student Visa as the Graduate Certificate in Epidemiology cannot be undertaken full time due to course sequencing. International students can however, complete this program part time from their home country as the courses are offered in external mode.

To fulfil the requirements of the Graduate Certificate in Epidemiology, a student must complete the requisite number of courses chosen from the course list in accordance with the Program Rules.
