Why study the Graduate Diploma in International Public Health?
This program concerns public health in the international context and emphasises a population and public health approach to disease control and health improvement. It considers public health across populations and countries, from low to high incomes, in particular geographic and cultural contexts, and especially those experiencing demographic, health socio-cultural and economic transitions. It also looks at the balance between disease control and health promotion for infectious disease, under-nutrition, cardiovascular diseases, cancer and injuries. It also focuses on the major causes of ill-health and premature mortality, as well as determinants of health and quality of life.
Limited Summer Semester entry is available to domestic students as elective courses only are offered.

What you can do with a Graduate Diploma in International Public Health
Careers
Graduates may choose roles as health professionals in government positions relating to health policy or as public health researchers. Qualifications in international health also help graduates secure a sought-after role with a non-government organisation or with international and bi-lateral aid agencies focussing on health and development such as the World Health Organisation and the World Bank.

To fulfil the requirements of the Graduate Diploma in International Public Health, a student must complete the requisite number of courses chosen from the course list in accordance with the Program Rules.
