Why study the Graduate Diploma in Social Science?

This program has been discontinued from 2011.

The suite of programs in social science will equip students with skills in social research methods as well as providing advanced knowledge in one of the substantive areas of social planning, health practice, and criminology. The program contributes to skill formation via the study of research techniques. It provides a critical understanding of the problems encountered by communities in a globalizing world, and develop solutions to the problems.

Program rules for the Graduate Diploma in Social Science

To complete the Graduate Diploma in Social Science

To fulfil the requirements of the Graduate Diploma in Social Science, a student must complete the requisite number of courses chosen from the course list in accordance with the Program Rules.

A student is required to obtain #16 from the MSocSc List comprising:

  • #8 from Part A and
  • #8 from a field in Part B.
