Entry requirements

Prerequisites

  • a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in any discipline, or
  • to have completed post-secondary study, plus 5 years of full-time equivalent work experience, or
  • 7 years of full-time equivalent work experience.

You must have a grade point average (GPA) of 4.0 on a 7-point scale in your previous qualification.
Applications on the basis of post-secondary study and/or work experience will be individually assessed.

Why study the Graduate Certificate in Commerce?

The Graduate Certificate in Commerce equips students with a thorough knowledge of the fundamentals of commerce and can act as a stepping stone to the Master of Commerce (2 years) qualification. This program is ideal for current managers who do not have a degree but have completed some post-secondary study and have relevant work experience.

The Graduate Certificate in Commerce will help you to further develop your finance and management skills and sets the foundations to progress to the Master of Commerce (2 years) program which offers specialised fields of study in applied finance, information systems or professional accounting.

To complete the Graduate Certificate in Commerce

To graduate with a Graduate Certificate in Commerce a student must have successfully completed all requirements of the program as certified by the Executive Dean. This includes courses to be taken to complete the program and any other specific conditions of the program including admission, enrolment and progression requirements.
