  • a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in genetics, molecular biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, biological chemistry, or an approved discipline (see below).
You must have a grade point average (GPA) of 5.0 on a 7-point scale in your previous qualification.

Why study the Master of Molecular Biology?

Molecular biology is the study of the structure and function of genes and the proteins they encode, including genome sequencing, recombinant DNA technology and macromolecular structure determination. This program provides advanced theoretical and practical training in molecular biology through lectures, workshops, extended projects and directed study. Students gain training in research methodology in molecular biology and have the opportunity to undertake major individual research.

To graduate with a Master of Molecular Biology a student must have successfully completed all requirements of the program as certified by the Executive Dean. This includes courses to be taken to complete the program and any other specific conditions of the program including admission, enrolment and progression requirements.
