International students may not undertake the program (except 'Standard' field of study) on campus at UQ on a full-time basis; they may only study from their home countries and will not be eligible for an Australian student visa.

Why study the Graduate Diploma in Health Studies?
The Health Studies programs aim to promote a population approach to health and ensure that health issues relevant to the diversity of the Australian population are recognised; provide high quality education relevant to the career needs and aspirations of mid-career professionals in health and related disciplines; apply knowledge from a wide range of disciplines to improve the health of patients and clients and their communities; promote a cooperative and intersectoral approach to health care delivery; create opportunities for students to contribute to the challenges of a changing society and changing government systems; and encourage the generation of evidence-based knowledge and its application to practice. Very limited Summer Semester entry is available to domestic students as elective courses only are offered. This program is designed for those working, or seeking to work, in a wide range of health and human services settings in government, non-government and private sectors. Graduates have enhanced understanding and skills relevant to a complex and changing health care environment, with particular emphasis on population health approaches. To complete the Graduate Diploma in Health Studies
To fulfil the requirements of the Graduate Diploma in Health Studies, a student must complete the requisite number of courses chosen from the course list in accordance with the Program Rules.
A student is required to obtain #16 from the GDipHSt List in the chosen field. Refer to GDipHSt rules for further information.
