Why study the Graduate Diploma in Educational Studies?

This program provides advanced professionally oriented studies for practising educators, focusing on the professional development needs and in-service requirements of teachers and administrators. Some pathways offer specific qualifications while others offer significant professional advantage to educators interested in career advancement or broadening career options.

NOTE that students wishing to undertake a second field with the Guidance and Counselling field must discuss their plans with the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences or the School of Education.

Please note that the Graduate Diploma of Educational Studies will not qualify you for teacher registration in Queensland. Teacher Registration can only be achieved by completing the Graduate Diploma in Education (Secondary) or the Master of Teaching (Primary) , which are certified teacher preparation (pre-service) programs.
