Why study the Bachelors of Music/Science?
This dual degree program is designed to provide students with a professional career in music and a depth of understanding in one or more fields of knowledge in the sciences. Students can structure their program within each degree component to include majors in their area of interest and a range of electives. Refer to the Bachelor of Music and the Bachelor of Science for individual program details and requirements for majors.
Students who intend to undertake the Bachelor of Music as an Honours program must apply to transfer into the Bachelor of Music (Honours) program after completion of 2 years full time study in the Bachelor of Music pass program. Further information is available here.

Program rules for the Bachelors of Music/Science
To complete the Bachelors of Music/Science
To fulfil the requirements of the Bachelors of Music/Science, a student must complete the requisite number of courses chosen from the course list in accordance with the Program Rules.
To complete the program, a student must complete #88 comprising -
- #56 for one of the fields set out in the BMus course list including a BMus extended major or a BMus major and a BMus minor
- #32 from parts A and B of the BSc course list including:
- (i) at least #6 from part A; and
- (ii) at least #14 from part B including #12 level 3 or higher.
- In the BSc students must complete the relevant combination for a major.
