Prerequisites

To be eligible for admission in the program, an applicant must hold: (a) the BInfTech from this university, with a GPA of 5.0; or (b) an approved degree, with a GPA of 5.0. (2) For the purpose of rule 1(1), an applicant whose degree was awarded more than 5 years prior to admission will not be considered.

Why study the Bachelor of Information Technology (Honours)?

The honours program involves intensive thesis work, usually with a research component. Links to industry in thesis work are encouraged. A student must take #16 from the Bachelor of Information Technology(Honours) course list.

What you can study

Graduates will have in-depth knowledge and be prepared for leadership in the information technology profession. Graduates will be prepared for practice in a world of accelerating change and also have a thorough understanding with depth and accuracy of the impact of information technology within an organisation, with society at large, and a detailed appreciation of the impact of information technology on the global scale. In addition, graduates will display effective communication skills, independence and creativity, critical judgment and ethical and social understanding.
