To enrol, a student must be enrolled in another program offered by the university; and have completed 16 units of study at the university with a GPA of 5. International students can undertake the concurrent diploma but they must ensure that the programs are completed within the time frame of their student visa.

Why study the Diploma in Global Issues?
This is an undergraduate-level multi-disciplinary concurrent program, designed to address the demands of undergraduate students with an interest in global studies and who wish to combine this study with a degree at the University of Queensland. Objectives of the program are for graduates to gain: knowledge of the current theoretical principles relating to globalisation; an ability to evaluate and synthesise the literature relating to the globalisation, and its relationship to environmental, economic, political and social change; an understanding of the interconnectedness between individuals, societies, and countries by encouraging students to consider the cultural, environmental, economic and political dimensions of globalisation.

To complete the Diploma in Global Issues
To fulfil the requirements of the Diploma in Global Issues, a student must complete the requisite number of courses chosen from the course list in accordance with the Program Rules.
