Stream A

MATH1040 should be undertaken by those students who do not have Year 12 Math B and MATH1050 by those who do not have Year 12 Math C, as electives in the BA program.

24 units consisting of:

6 units for compulsory gateway courses -

and 4 units for compulsory cornerstone courses -

and 4 units to 6 units from -

and 2 units for compulsory capstone course -

and 2 units to 8 units from -

which may include up to 4 units from -

or any level 4 Mathematics course with the permission of the Executive Dean

Extended Major

Stream B

24 units consisting of:

6 units for compulsory gateway courses -

and 4 units compulsory cornerstone courses -

and 4 units to 6 units from -

and 2 units or compulsory capstone courses -

and 2 units to 8 units from -

which may include up to 4 units from -

or any level 4 Mathematics course with the permission of the Executive Dean

Students with a high achievement in Senior Maths C (or a 6 or 7 in MATH1050) should take the sequence MATH1071, MATH1072 and MATH2401 (Stream B).

Students with a sound achievement in Senior Maths C (or a 4 or 5 in MATH1050) should take the sequence MATH1051, MATH1052 and MATH2400 (Stream A).
