Why study Writing?

This minor gives you the practical skills to become a much better writer, both creatively and professionally. Whether you harbour ambitions of getting your short stories published, or would like to be more effective in the workplace, a writing minor will help you better connect with your audience. You will work with world-renowned creative practitioners to hone your craft, while learning how to build a portfolio career. You will also develop transferable skills that are highly valued in the 21st-century knowledge economy. The ability to tell compelling stories, and to express yourself clearly and charmingly, will give you the edge that you ' and your future employers ' seek.
