Why study Exploration Geophysics?

The Master of Mineral Resources (Exploration Geophysics) supports students with a quantitative undergraduate degree (e.g. science, engineering) to fast-track into a career as a professional geophysicist. The program structure allows access to a range of geophysical electives to broadly skill graduates in the main geophysical disciplines - seismic, potential-field, and electrical/EM techniques. There is an emphasis on mathematical rigor, and students gain significant experience in algorithmic implementation and computation. A high level research project is included to further develop analytical, computational and research skills. Core academic staff have significant industry experience and most projects are industry based.
