Course description

Students' knowledge and skills in microbiology, epidemiology, veterinary and human medicine, veterinary pathology, livestock production and welfare, and natural resource management are applied to human health and environmental protection. The course provides a base understanding of zoonotic diseases and food production security that can be built upon by both the practicing veterinarian and for those intending to develop a career in veterinary public health. The Applied Diagnostic Pathology component provides students with practical skills and knoweledge relating to professional practice, and advances students' experience in disease diagnosis.
