Course description

VETS1005 is a foundation course for the veterinary technology/veterinary nursing professional in training. It emphasises the importance of professional communication skills, both oral and written, and research skills. Students will also be introduced to elements relevant to the professionalisation of veterinary technology/nursing (VT/VN). There is a focus on careers and career preparation within the field. Students will also study issues of animal welfare and ethics, legislation and codes of practice relevant to the field.
