Course description

The goal of this course is to provide students with a theoretical and working knowledge of health psychology, its application in health care settings and new developments on the social perspectives of health. A range of topics in health psychology are presented in the context of addressing issues of primary prevention, treatment adherence and intervention, with students gaining an understanding of different approaches to health, including the newly developed social identity approach.
