Course description

Quota of 20. Enrolment for 2014 will open on 27 February at 4pm. Enrolment will close once quota has been reached. Current psychological thinking is strongly influenced by the biological sciences and thus the unifying concept of evolution. This course introduces, with critical discussion, key topics in animal cognition and/or the evolution of the human mind. Students should develop a good grasp of the evolutionary approach, critical awareness of misrepresentations in the field, an overview of key topics and a well-researched, in-depth understanding of a specific issue of the current debate.
