Course description

In this course students will be introduced to contemporary nursing practice and the Australian health care system. Students will have the opportunity to examine the nature and breadth of nursing and the underpinning concepts of nursing theory and research. The basic principles of reflective practice and the legal and ethical issues inherent in nursing care will be explored. Students will also examine the concepts of collaborative and autonomous care of individuals of all ages, families, groups and communities, sick or well in the Australian health care setting.
