Course description

Students will learn issues associated with the nursing management of the person with multiple traumas. The legal & ethical issues associated with duty of care for health professionals in general & in dealing with emergencies will be covered. The social, health & economic impact of alcohol on the community will be covered. Students will learn about the global burden of morbidity & mortality due to injury & why this is an Australian national health priority area & injury prevention is of global concern.
