Course description

Examines media stories, TV programs & radio personalities that shock, amuse & intrigue audiences. Students consider how media sensations expose the anxieties & desires of a culture. Topics include reality TV, sensationalism, tabloidism, trash media, 'talk' & gossip. NOTE: Course offering may be cancelled unless a minimum of 20 students enrol
