Course description

Introduction to Australian mining history, mining methods & equipment, explosives & blasting. Significant Australian mineral deposits & mines. Mining development & production terms & descriptions. Economic, social & environmental considerations. Introduction to mineral processing including crushing, grinding, physical separation, flotation and coal processing.
